Adecco is partnering with a Japanese based Chemical manufacturing company, globally recognized for its innovation in chemicals, and other high-performance materials, with operations and manufacturing sites worldwide, including in Singapore.

They are seeking a Project engineer in E&I to join their growing team. The ideal candidate should have EPC experience, strong technical expertise in E&I systems, DCS/PLC, proven project leadership, digital proficiency, and is open to overseas assignment. The Job

• Manage end-to-end E&I/DCS engineering projects from detailed design to installation, testing, and commissioning-ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Specify E&I systems, review technical drawings/specs, and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as on-site engineering support to oversee construction progress, site safety, supervision, and safe work permit processes.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during construction and commissioning phases, resolve variation orders, and ensure formal closure with project teams and contractors.
• Lead cross-functional teams and work closely with project managers, consultants, and engineers for smooth project execution.
• Prepare project reports, track progress, manage risks, and develop contingency plans as necessary.

The Talent

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of project engineering experience, preferably within EPC environments for chemical process plants.
• Strong knowledge of E&I systems, DCS (Yokogawa), PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi), and local/international engineering standards.
• Proven ability to manage projects from engineering through to commissioning and handover, with strong leadership and coordination abilities.
• Willing to work extended hours and accept long-term overseas assignments when required.
