Accounts Executive (6-Month Temp Contract)

About the Role:
We are looking for an Accounts Executive (6-month contract) to support day-to-day finance operations. This role will cover a full spectrum of accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Month-End Closing, GST submissions, and Audit Support.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Process supplier invoices, payments, and purchase orders
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies or refunds
Manage staff and travel claims
Maintain supplier records, contract details, and telco agreements
Monitor outstanding purchase orders and handle closure of unneeded POs
Update cash projections and manage foreign currency hedging
Assist with new supplier registration and system updates
Accounts Receivable:
Issue invoices, credit notes, and intercompany billings
Track and post incoming payments; follow up on overdue collections
Prepare audit confirmations and generate aging reports
Work closely with project managers and stakeholders on billing matters
Banking:
Assist with daily bank-ins and update cashbook transactions
Handle forex hedging, perform bank transfers, currency revaluations, and reconciliations
Month-End Closing:
Reconcile intercompany and clearing accounts
Post accruals, provisions, and journal entries
Maintain the fixed assets register, including updates on additions, disposals, and depreciation
Prepare monthly financial reports (Balance Sheet & P&L)
Tax & Reporting:
Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns and reconciliations
Compile and distribute monthly expenditure reports
Audit Support:
Assist with annual audits and respond to tax queries
General & Admin Support:
Handle administrative tasks such as GIRO form submissions, name card printing, and drafting termination letters
Support inquiries and participate in system enhancement testing
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with EPICOR/ERP systems is a plus
Meticulous with strong attention to detail
Able to meet tight deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team
Good interpersonal and communication skills
