The Role:
As a Technical Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the operational and technical aspects of supply chain and industrial management training environments. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the setup and teardown of classes, workshops, and events, ensuring spaces are well-maintained and reset appropriately.
Maintaining accurate records of laboratory usage and equipment, including preventive maintenance schedules and corrective actions.
Assisting in the procurement and inventory management of lab equipment, consumables, and services, including annual stocktaking.
Performing basic troubleshooting of equipment issues and coordinating with vendors for repairs and servicing.
Ensuring compliance with QEHS standards, including safe disposal of hazardous materials and adherence to emergency protocols.
Contributing to administrative duties, special projects, and event coordination as assigned.
Supporting the implementation of safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized lab environment.
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and timely support.
Participating in committee work and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for technical support and operations. Ideal candidates will have:
A Higher Nitec or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Industrial & Operations Management, or a related field.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for clear documentation and coordination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT tools for administrative and reporting tasks.
Experience or interest in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to manage inventory and procurement processes efficiently.
Familiarity with QEHS protocols and safety compliance standards.
A collaborative mindset and willingness to support cross-functional teams.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive attitude towards learning and continuous improvement.
