Senior Quantity Surveyor (Maincons - 5 days) - #1102770

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties for construction, buildings projects.

• Prepare and evaluate tender documents, cost estimates, bills of quantities (BQ), and progress claims.

• Monitor and control project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage cash flow projections.

• Conduct contract reviews, analyze contract terms and conditions, and identify potential risks and variations.

• Handle procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers.

• Administer progress payments, variations, VO claims, final accounts, and ensure timely certification.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments on all contractual and commercial matters.

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, and regulatory standards.

• Support project managers and site teams in cost control, commercial forecasting, and reporting.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QS team members (for senior role).

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying roles, preferably with main contractors. (Senior candidates with management experience may be considered for managerial positions)

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC) and contract administration practices.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, CostX, and other QS-related software tools.

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
