Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to manage the company’s inventory records and day-to-day store operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring timely stock movements, and physically organizing the storage and issuance of tools, equipment, and materials used in fire protection works. The ideal candidate will be both hands-on and capable of basic administrative inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management and ReportingMaintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using Excel or inventory software.
Monitor stock levels and usage trends to assist in planning for replenishments.
Generate stock reports and assist in monthly or quarterly stock audits.
Highlight low-stock or obsolete items and propose reordering or disposal.
Receive deliveries and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and condition.
Check delivery orders against purchase orders and record discrepancies.
Tag and record items upon arrival and store them systematically.
Organize and maintain the physical store in an orderly and safe manner.
Issue tools, equipment, and materials according to project needs and delivery orders.
Track issued and returned items, ensuring proper documentation of all stock movement.
Support operations and technician teams by preparing materials for job dispatch.
Ensure documentation for all inbound and outbound stock is complete and filed properly.
Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards in the store and warehouse area.
Support periodic internal or external audits related to inventory control.
Assist with equipment calibration, tagging, or labelling when required.
Work closely with operations coordinators, project supervisors, and procurement to ensure smooth stock availability.
Provide timely stock updates to the operations manager or relevant departments.
Requirements:
At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in inventory or store operations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic proficiency in Excel or simple inventory systems
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Familiarity with fire protection or M&E-related materials is a plus
Material handling experience is an advantage
