About The Role:
As a Seafreight Executive at Gebruder Weiss Pte. Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company's seafreight operations. Set sail on this career where every shipment tells a story-and you are the one making it happen!
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with sales support team to manage and coordinate sea export and import shipments.
Execute assigned tasks with precision by consistently monitoring costs, timelines and service quality.
Process of export and import all necessary shipping documentation such as permits declaration, transportation, certificate of origin including Form D (ASEA Trade in Goods Agreement), Form E (China-ASEAN Free Trade Area) and Embassy required documentation.
Billing to customer and verify vendor invoices.
Coordinate and liaise with customers, carriers, agents and other stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution and resolving any issues relating to outbound and inbound shipment.
Coordinate and confirm with customers on document, delivery instructions and final Bill of Lading.
Ensuring that all jobs are executed efficiently and accurately in a timely manner, complying with customer requirements.
Addressing and resolving any customs-related issues such as classification disputes or any others issue that could delay the release of goods.
Managing email correspondence with customers and overseas agents.
Assist on RFQ/Rate Inquiry from Sales/CS.
Sending pre-alert (export) to our overseas branches and agents
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years of experience handling ocean shipments in the freight forwarding industry.
Strong understanding of seafreight operations, processing mandatory documentation and customs clearance procedures.
Familiarity with Incoterms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with customers and stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
Team player with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in using cargoWise is an advantage.
