E&I Site Engineer
The Responsibilities
Participated in technical reviews and clarifications with clients and suppliers to ensure alignment of design requirements and project scope.
Coordinated design activities across various engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams.
Executed comprehensive electrical engineering designs and calculations, including equipment sizing, measurement, and preparation of bill of materials (BOM).
Served as a liaison with clients and vendors to address and resolve technical engineering queries throughout the project lifecycle.
Contributed to design and construction documentation, including preparation and submission of technical drawings and specifications.
Actively involved in construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software; provided guidance and oversight to drafting personnel to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance.
Managed coordination efforts not only within the electrical discipline but also with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Facilitated E-House fabrication activities, including installation of cable trays/ladders, lighting systems, HVAC, and fire and gas (F&G) devices.
Conducted testing and commissioning of lighting, HVAC, and F&G systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
Oversaw material withdrawal and MTO (Material Take-Off) activities as required to support construction schedules.
Ensured strict adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards while managing project execution.
Monitored project progress, implementing corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
Supervised electrical staff and subcontractors, providing clear guidance and technical direction.
Ensured all electrical installations complied with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conducted risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Maintained a high standard of quality by regularly inspecting electrical work and ensuring compliance with specifications and safety norms.
The Requirements
Must know how to operate and draw in AutoCAD.
Must know fire and gas detection knowledge.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Control and Instrumentation or related fields.
Min. 3 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
Knowledge in electrical starters and VFD design.
Well versed in electrical cable sizing, voltage drop, cable gland sizing and cable schedule.
Overcurrent protection device sizing and selection.
Electrical equipment and instruments installation.
Good skills in E&I troubleshooting.
