Responsibilities:

• Responsible for selecting, packing (including wooden cases, pallets, wrapping, and strapping) to ensure that items are securely packed for safe handling by forklifts and transportation.

• Ensure goods are systematically and properly organized at designated locations.

• Operate forklifts to load and unload shipments, adhering to safety protocols.

• Coordinate with sales and operations teams regarding the schedule of incoming freight and ensure prompt clearance of items inside cases or boxes.

• Support the supervisor in overseeing storekeepers, assigning tasks, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring that work is completed efficiently and on time.

• Contribute to suggesting workflow improvements to minimize time wastage within the warehouse.

• Assist in identifying potential hazards in the workspace and implementing corrective actions.

• Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure regular maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, stackers, pallet jacks, etc.

• Help maintain an adequate stock of packing materials to support warehouse operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar function

• Certified forklift driver

• Able to lift goods up to 10kg

• Prior supervisory experience is an added benefit
