Responsibilities

• Assist radiographers with safe and proper patient transfers using correct techniques and posture.

• Monitor patient condition during transfers, ensuring lines and catheters are secure.

• Support patients in waiting and examination areas, ensuring comfort and addressing basic needs.

• Verify patient identification and imaging requisitions for accuracy before procedures.

• Clean and maintain imaging equipment, cassettes, and imaging plates.

• Assist with the movement of portable imaging units (e.g., portable X-ray, image intensifier, ultrasound machines).

• Perform routine Quality Assurance (QA) checks on printers and maintain appropriate records.

• Support image processing tasks as directed by radiographers.

• Assist in film/image handling and management.

• Perform simple troubleshooting of imaging equipment (with vendor-provided training).

• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging areas.

• Participate in continuing education and quality assurance programs as instructed.

• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the radiographer on duty or supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum secondary school education.

• Basic computer literacy.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written).

• Compassionate, with a strong sense of patient care and safety.

• Service-oriented, with a friendly and professional demeanor.

• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is an advantage.
