Senior CAD Drafter | Up to $5500 | Boon Lay #5252 - #1102005

Duration: 1 year contract (Renewable/Convertible)

Salary range: $3500 - $5500
Working time and days: Mon - Fri (8:30am-5:30pm)

Job Scopes:

• Convert 3D scanned STL models into clean, fully parametric CAD models using reverse engineering software

• Interpret and reconstruct models with a clear understanding of design intent, not just geometry replication

• Create structured assemblies and sub-assemblies with correct mechanical relationships and mating conditions using SOLIDWORKS

• Produce 2D manufacturing drawings that include:

  -Dimensional callouts

  -Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

  -Surface finishes and machining symbols

  -Assembly exploded views (if required)

• Validate part interfaces and ensure tolerances are appropriate for fit and function

• Coordinate with engineering leads to clarify missing geometry, interfaces, or assumptions

• Maintain good file structure, versioning, and documentation

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical CAD drafting, with at least 2+ years in reverse engineering

• Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, and Geomagic DX or related reverse engineering software

• Strong understanding of design intent, interface logic, and mechanical tolerances

• Proficient in GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101 standards

• Experience creating manufacturing-ready 2D drawings from self-built models

• Able to work independently and document assumptions made from incomplete or scan-only inputs
