Job Description: Quality Assurance Executive (Food Manufacturing)
Key Responsibilities
1. Food Safety & Hygiene
Conduct daily hygiene inspections in production and factory areas.
Ensure compliance with SFA/AVA and ISO 22000 standards.
Promote and enforce proper personal hygiene among food handlers.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Analyze food safety and quality data; report on performance indicators.
Develop sampling plans and product quality testing procedures.
Maintain HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety documentation.
Coordinate with external labs for microbiological testing.
Manage customer complaints with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Conduct traceability checks to identify sources of quality issues.
3. Audits & Regulatory Matters
Act as the main contact for customer audits and inquiries.
Prepare for and lead inspections by authorities (e.g., SFA, SOCOTEC) and certification bodies.
Conduct internal audits and ensure CAPA is completed and documented.
4. Production Oversight
Supervise daily operations to meet production and quality targets.
Assist with hands-on production during manpower shortages.
Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FIFO inventory control.
Support continuous improvement in production efficiency.
5. Maintenance & Technical Support
Schedule and manage equipment maintenance with external vendors.
Troubleshoot technical issues affecting production.
Ensure optimal operating conditions of machinery and facilities.
6. Logistics & Vendor Coordination
Source and liaise with vendors for equipment and service needs.
Coordinate with authorities on import/export documentation and compliance.
7. Process Improvement & R&D
Develop and review SOPs related to quality and food safety.
Work with R&D and cross-functional teams on new product development and process enhancements.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance.
Solid understanding of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP standards, and SFA/AVA regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle investigations and root-cause analysis.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to dynamic work environments.
Multilingual abilities are a plus.
Prior experience in quality control or assurance within the food industry is preferred.
Demonstrates a positive work attitude, strong initiative, and commitment to excellence.
