- Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of inorganic chemicals' production.
- Evaluate customers' orders with the Team Leader and create production schedules to meet deliverables.
- Oversee the planning and ordering of Anhydrous Ammonia (skid tanks/cylinders).
- Keep track of the NH3 and NH4OH Performance Matrix and account for deviation/breaches captured by the matrix.
- Supervise the manufacturing processes is done in a safe and efficient manner.
- Oversees and assess the existing processes and workflows and optimizes them through designing, implementing and testing new procedures.
- Conduct R&D work for new product/process.
- Ensure all production and testing records are properly verified and documented.
- Compiling status, performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
- Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations, solutions and the necessary training.
- Formulate a yearly maintenance plan and ensure all maintenance activities in the plant are appropriately carried out.
- Ensure all inspection and certification of all pressure vessels are done and properly recorded.
- Assignment of delivery escorts to the respective clients and qualification of the delivery escorts.
- Review the delivery escorts competency and make appropriate changes.
- Ensure a safe working environment within the production area.
- Perform inventory checks on a monthly basis.
- Administer the ISO 9001:2015 system.
- To lead on sites ammonia project (eg purging/charging) which includes project planning and execution.
- Demonstrate and encourage a disciplined approach to compliance in all elements of the Company policies, processes and procedures.
- Ensure outgoing product meet customers' requirements and specifications.
- Review and generate Risk Assessment for all tasks.
- Review and generate Safe Work Practices (SWP) for all tasks.
- Conduct safety training for the NH3/NH4OH related process to technicians/operators/escorts.
- Respond to customers' queries relating to safety, qualify and deliverables.
- Raise Correction Action Request (CAR) to problematic vendors.
- Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment with all co-workers and vendors.
- Respond to off hours critical calls to resolve facility/equipment issues.
- Sourcing, review and purchase of Ammonia related equipment, accessories and spares.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the superior or Management.
Job requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical) or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field.
- Preferably executive level specialized in Engineering - Chemical or equivalent.
