JOB OVERVIEW

The Business Development Executive (BDE) plays a key role in driving new business opportunities and

supporting revenue growth. The BDE is responsible for generating leads, building client relationships, and developing a pipeline of prospective clients within a designated market segment.

The role involves:

  • Developing and executing a structured sales contact plan

  • Creating strategic proposals and business plans

  • Responding to client Requests for Quotation (RFQs)

  • Actively pitching to both existing and potential clients within the assigned portfolio

  • This position requires initiative, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to support the company’ business development efforts.

KEY PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development

  • Expand and manage a client database to generate leads and exceed sales targets.

  • Develop and execute sales contact plans, including direct marketing and client meetings.

  • Respond to RFQs professionally and creatively.

  • Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.

  • Create targeted marketing strategies to attract prospects.

  • Knowledge, Sharing, Learning & Development

  • Understand the business operations and industry movement

  • Enhance own development by taking responsibility for staying informed and up to date with industry knowledge

  • Work closely with the Business Development team to develop new business proposals

  • Work closely with colleagues in Standard Worldwide to identify common new business prospects and share findings

  • Contribute to the learning environment by identifying areas where there is potential for learning and building knowledge with others

  • Adopt the performance management scheme by setting objectives, participating in performance reviews and building a personal development plan

Professional Requirements

  • Ability to interact with & influence multiple sales channels

  • Ability to manage and track lead generation and enquiries through CRM system

  • Ability to increase opportunity and close sales

  • Ability to come up with new ideas for new business

  • Frequent travelling for business trip
