Job Description:
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of financial records. This role provides a great opportunity to develop hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform data entry of supplier invoices and staff claims into the accounting software and Excel
Liaise with suppliers to reconcile Statements of Account (SOA)
Prepare payment vouchers and ensure systematic filing of supplier documents on a monthly basis
Review and verify staff claims for accuracy and compliance with internal policies
Provide support for other ad-hoc administrative and accounting duties as required
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., MYOB)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
Good organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support effective collaboration across departments
Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and assist team members as needed
