ASSOCIATE / SENIOR ASSOCIATE IN COMPETITION & ANTITRUST AND TRADE PRACTICE - #1099970

What are we looking for?

We are looking to hire Associate / Senior Associate to join our Competition & Antitrust and Trade Practice in our Singapore office.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a well-established law firm focusing on competition and trade practice. We will consider any candidate who has a good analytical mind and can write succinctly and effectively. You will need to have an eye for details.

You will work on all types of competition and trade related matters, with a huge potential to grow. Candidates who are independent thinking, have a love for the law and are resolute will enjoy the ride. This is a place where we work strongly as a team and we will help you grow.

The Role Will Involve

• All aspects of competition law, from advisory and compliance to disputes and resolution.

• Reviewing the effects of structural changes in businesses to assess the impact on competition in the relevant industries and advising clients whether merger notifications are necessary.

• Defending allegations of infringements of competition law and help businesses to define and coordinate strategy in cases involving competition authorities from multiple jurisdictions.

• Assisting and advising on appropriate leniency applications, where necessary.

• Providing counsel and advice for all types of matters involving the import and export of goods.

Key Skills and Experience

• Singapore qualified lawyer with minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.

• Experience in competition law and providing legal advisory on trade matters.

• Good grounding in legal knowledge, research capabilities and drafting skills.

• Ability to think laterally, possesses initiative, drive and commercial acumen.

• Works well in a team as well as independently.
