JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the solar energy sector. This role involves creating strategic partnerships, managing client relationships, and leading efforts to drive sales and revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the solar energy market, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in business development. Key responsibilities include:
Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and assess the potential for solar projects
Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company’s market presence in the solar industry
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform business strategies
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including lead generation, qualification, and closing deals
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry associations
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners
Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, to ensure successful project delivery
Financial and Contract Management:
Negotiate contracts with stakeholders to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company
Prepare financial models and business cases to support business decisions
Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / Head of Department from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving business growth
• Strong understanding of the solar energy market, including technologies, financing options, and regulatory environment
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Helioscope/PVSyst software
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities
• A strong team player with the ability to work independently
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to travel as needed
