Responsibilities

  • Use product technical skills (i.e. service and maintenance, etc.) and technical documentation skills (like planning, redlining, reviewing, validating, etc.) to visualize and develop interactive Augmented Reality (AR) training assets for KLA’s internal and external customers.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional partners like New Product Introduction (NPI) to define and build AR training material by researching and converting technical information for use in multimedia and AR for non-technical and technical users.

  • Conducts review meetings and discussions with partners to ensure the AR training material is technically accurate and to control IP.

  • Exerts good project management skills on the assigned projects by providing regular updates to the partners and functional groups, and to initiate changes by submitting Information change requests (ICR) to improve the planning and development of new AR training as needed.

  • Testing and validation of new AR training media and methods on KLA equipment.

  • Strives to develop and maintain high technical skills by learning any new software, tools or techniques that can be allied to high quality AR training.

  • Participates in technical activities to maintain technical skills on the assigned product, like training, install, upgrades, tool builds, or any other activity assigned from time to time. Review and update system procedures (submit change requests ICR) for training development.

  • Submit ICRs to improve or correct existing Augmented Reality (AR) Guides by collaborating with multi-functional teams.

  • Analyze existing training tasklist to identify AR training opportunities.

  • Collaborate with all partners to align on AR requirements for training.

  • Design and build innovative training, using AR and blended learning.

  • Be able to instruct KLA technical courses if needed.

  • Independently makes decisions with minimal or no support from direct or indirect managers. Leverages people from functional groups and partners to drive collective decisions.

  • Works efficiently and effectively in matrix environment with multiple direct and indirect managers. Comfortably implement to the expectations of multiple partners with conflicting requirements and drive consensus, boundaries and transparency where needed.

  • Works on medium to very sophisticated problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for acquiring results.

  • Uses standard accurate English understood across the world. Displays high proficiency in English writing for technical and non-technical audiences. Translates sophisticated content of procedure/documents to a level and language most appropriate to the target audience. Applies other standard processes to produce high quality, easy to understand training resources.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong and proven technical skills. Candidate should be able to produce evidence or samples.

  • Preferred technical experience of over 5 years on product design, manufacturing, install, product support, technical support or servicing of semiconductor equipment or related industries.

  • Direct experience on KLA’s overlay metrological equipment or equivalent semiconductor metrology/ measurement equipment is helpful.

  • Flexibility to adjust work times with remote and local teams, ability to work with partners across different geographies, able to conduct online meetings in different time zones and work comfortably with members of team from different cultures.

  • Open to supporting any technical or project assignment assigned by management when needed and flexibility to travel when required for business.

  • Applicant must demonstrate a very high level of motivation, openness, flexibility and willingness to push own boundaries for development into a complimentary role such as trainer or any similar technical role, if required.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or technical stream is desired for this role.

  • Highly detailed oriented as well as the ability to assess the big picture. Ability to perform analysis and evaluation of alternatives, solutions and approaches. Ability to exert critical thinking.
