RESIDENT ENGINEER (M&E) - #1098727

Job Description:

• Lead and supervise the M&E team in regularly inspecting M&E work to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Promptly identify and address any deficiencies.

• Effectively coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of M&E work. Maintain clear and concise communication.

• Monitor the progress of M&E work, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular progress reports for the consultant, superintendent officer, and project management team.

• Proactively identify and resolve M&E-related issues, proposing solutions and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Assist with site measurements, monitor site progress, and assess progress claims, including variation order (VO) assessments.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and procedures on site. Promote a safe working environment for all personnel.

• Maintain accurate and complete records of all M&E work, inspections, and correspondence, ensuring proper as-built installation records.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the client.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering/Diploma in relevant field.

• 8 years of experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.

• Proven experience managing M&E contracts and subcontractors.

• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid professional Resident Engineer-M&E license

• To be deployed to project along Tuas South Way.
