Working days/hours: 5 ½ day work week, Mon to Fri : 8.30am to 5.30pm & Sat : 8.30am to 12.30pm
Location: Woodlands/ sometimes will support in the East
The EHS Coordinator shall assist the Project Manager in the full spectrum of activities including plan, administer, implement company and corporate safety policy, programs, procedures, activities and practices in compliance with regulatory, company and customers’ requirements.
Responsibilities:
Manage the company’s on-site SAFETY and HEALTH activities during the construction phase (before TOP) and after TOP
Liaise closely with the management team, project team, EHS team, on-site team, main contractors, customers, and authorities on all safety and health issues
Coordinate and maintain records of all WSH matters, such as PTW, SWP, risk assessments, daily toolbox meetings, safety-related checklists, and forms, etc.
Perform daily inspections, walk about to ensure safe work practices are adhered to by all the team members on-site and ensure compliance with prevailing MOM regulations, company policies as well as on-site protocols are maintained by the main contractors and customers
Inform the work personnel on the risk and impact assessment for the work to be performed
Coordinate with work supervisor to ensure work area is safe for work to commence
Follow up with the work supervisor to rectify unsafe conditions or unsafe act upon detecting any in the work area
Ensure that personnel are equipped with valid competency certificates/ trainings for work
Ensure that the equipment that are used for work, are equipped with valid statutory certificates
Seal off work area and prevent personnel entering when Immediate Danger to Health and Life conditions exist and escalate the issue immediately
Follow up with feedback on safety irregularities and inform project manager/EHS team accordingly
Assist project manager/EHS team in accident/incident reporting and investigations if any Compile weekly reports to submit to management team all safety related activities and incidents Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health Safety or its equivalent
At least Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or higher
Minimum 2 years of working experience in construction preferred
Working at Height (WAH) training certification and a valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) certification is a mandatory
Experience with Wafer FABS and Cleanroom protocol is an added advantage
Strong communication, negotiation and good interpersonal skills
Meticulous, organized and resourceful team player
Highly motivated individual who works independently with little supervision
Required to work overtime to support operational requirements (after office hours/weekend/public holiday)
