The Senior Staff Nurse provides an advanced level of specialised nursing care to patients. The incumbent plays a vital role in daily operational activities of the Department and Unit, providing nursing care, assists ADC Consultants during prenatal diagnostic, fetal therapeutical procedures and counsel couples on prenatal screening tests.
The duties included:
Collaborates with nursing supervisors to define, develop and implement patient care initiative to meet objectives for excellent care and best outcome for patients.
Assesses, implements, and evaluates the nursing care to provide family centric care to patients and families.
Participates actively in patient care process by collaborating and communicating effectively with multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and safe transition of care to family/community provider.
Contributes to improvement of care processes by generating new ideas and suggestions, implementing evidence-led nursing practices and participating in nursing research and quality improvement projects.
Assists in prenatal diagnostic test procedures and fetal therapeutical procedures.
Performs phlebotomy and intravenous cannula insertions for patients undergoing fetal therapeutical procedures.
Assists doctor in the management of Fetal Medicine Clinic (FMC) cases and attends to emergency situations at AMC/ADC.
Recruit patients for international conferences, workshops and research.
Maintain proper storage, monitors and replenishment of supplies, consumables, and equipment for prenatal procedures whenever necessary.
Assists Nurse Clinician to plan, implement and evaluate patient/family education.
Participates actively to initiate quality improvement projects and all activities related to ensuring a safe and clean environment as well as smooth running of the ward.
Performs other duties as assigned by Nurse Clinician/Nurse Manager.
Job Requirement:
Diploma in Nursing or Degree in Nursing and registered with the Singapore Nursing Board.
Commitment to excellent patient care
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
