Cybersecurity Engineering Lead - #1097751

Our client, a leading organization in their sector, is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Engineering Lead to strengthen their security capabilities. We are looking for a technically strong leader who can both guide a team and stay actively involved in building and securing complex systems. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep engineering expertise with strategic leadership. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. 

• Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers, fostering skill development and operational excellence. 

• Develop and execute strategies for threat detection, prevention, and response across on-premise and cloud environments. 

• Evaluate and implement security technologies such as firewalls, SIEMs, endpoint protection, IAM, on-premise and cloud security solutions. 

• Serve as the subject matter expert on security best practices and emerging threats, advising stakeholders and executives. 

• Continuously evaluate the security posture of the organization and recommend improvements based on threat intelligence and industry trends. 

• Collaborate with IT, risk, and compliance teams to align cybersecurity efforts with regulatory and organizational requirements 

Requirements  

• Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, including at least 3 years leading a team of 5 or more engineers. 

• On-premise and cloud security engineering experience 

• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA, AWS Certified Security - Specialty) preferred.  

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security.
