Installation Engineer (BESS/ Electrical) - #1097710

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee on-site installation, commissioning, and testing of BESS projects.

• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth system deployment and adherence to timelines.

• Perform electrical wiring, integration, and troubleshooting of energy storage systems, including inverters, control panels, and protection systems.

• Conduct site assessments, electrical load analysis, and ensure compatibility with solar PV, diesel generators, or hybrid systems.

• Review electrical drawings, system schematics, and installation plans to ensure accuracy and safety compliance.

• Ensure all electrical works adhere to local codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE), and HSE regulations.

• Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and technical handover documentation.

• Identify and resolve issues during installation or commissioning, escalating complex problems as needed.

• Provide technical input for system upgrades, retrofits, or maintenance projects.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in BESS, solar PV, or generator systems.

• Strong understanding of power electronics, energy storage systems, battery management systems (BMS), and control systems.

• Experience with electrical installation, site supervision, and commissioning.

• Familiarity with single-line diagrams, load flow, protection coordination, and safety standards.

• Able to interpret electrical drawings and perform field adjustments if required.

• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel to project sites and work in outdoor/remote environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with BESS-integrated renewable energy or microgrid projects.

• Knowledge of SCADA systems, data loggers, or energy management software.

• Professional certifications (e.g., Licensed Electrical Worker or equivalent) are advantageous.
