Deputy Construction Manager (LTA / Main Contractor) - #1097394

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Construction Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of LTA or large-scale infrastructure projects. You will assist the Construction Manager in overseeing site operations, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project timelines. The ideal candidate should have strong experience working on civil or LTA infrastructure projects under a Main Contractor (A1) setup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Construction Manager in managing daily site operations for LTA/Civil projects.

• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.

• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

• Monitor progress and prepare reports on site activities, issues, and resolutions.

• Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to prevent delays and non-compliance.

• Manage and resolve site issues including technical queries, variations, and work coordination.

• Attend site and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities (e.g. LTA).

• Review and approve method statements, work schedules, and safety documents.

• Assist in manpower and resource planning to meet project demands.

• Enforce WSH regulations and ensure all site personnel adhere to safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 6–10 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role handling LTA or large-scale infrastructure projects under a Main Contractor.

• Strong understanding of LTA specifications, construction methods, and authority requirements in Singapore.

• Proven track record in managing site teams, subcontractors, and project schedules.

• Familiar with project management tools, technical drawings, and construction documentation.

• Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiar with local safety standards (WSH Act, etc.) and risk management.
