Pratt & Whitney Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) in-conjunction with Aftermarket System Engineering, Singapore Engine Diagnostic Center (SEDC) is seeking a Systems Engineer (Senior) responsible for Production, MRO & Field Support on the Geared Turbofan PW1100G-JM engine program - the most advanced propulsion system for the Airbus A320NEO/A321NEO commercial jetliner.
EDSI is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of commercial and industrial gas turbine engines. EDSI is responsible for overall engine system definition and management. This includes engine performance, operability, system level modeling and simulation, validation and verification of performance and operability requirements, and functional engine and air vehicle systems integration. EDSI also defines engine architecture, system and structural design as well as manages all requirements across the program.
What You Will Do
Provide technical guidance and support for PW1100G-JM Production/MRO network and airline customers.
Actively monitor PW1100G-JM Production, MRO and fielded engine performance including with a focus on the following areas: performance trending, statistical process control, limit exceedance and quality assurance dispositions, test cell correlation, effectivity of overhaul work scope via gas generator component analysis, deterioration modeling and trend shift diagnosis via gas generator component analysis.
Perform system level event analysis for Production, MRO and fielded engines.
Ensure safe field operation of reliable P&W engines through analysis of engine operability, performance, and product usage.
Trend fleet-wide performance and investigate anomalies.
Perform fielded engine event support and system analysis data review using field data sources.
Support data analytics initiatives utilizing field data sources and big data tools
Drive and support engineering Root Cause investigations (e.g. part failure) through use of event data, fleet usage data and aero-thermal models.
Generate and communicate technical presentations and reviews to key program stakeholders and customers.
Work schedule: Hybrid, working alternately in-office and remotely.
Qualifications You Must Have
BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
At least 5 years working experience in Engine Powerplant, Test Cell, Engine Shop Environment.
Practical knowledge of engine hardware and system level design
Experience in Programming and Data Analytics / Data Visualization tools (C++, Python, MATLAB, etc)
Experience in communicating with internal and external customers.
Knowledge of engine performance and operability concepts
Knowledge of component aerodynamics, air systems, heat transfer & secondary flow.
Qualifications We Prefer
Work schedule: Hybrid, working alternately in-office and remotely.
Practical knowledge of data connectivity and data structure management would be an advantage
