Senior Manager Risk (Corporate Law) - #1097076

This position supports legal activities and mitigates risk c. 29 countries, 2400 shore staff and 40,000 seafarers.

• Reviewing and drafting a variety of commercial contracts and agreements

• Assisting in the conduct of the legal affairs of the Company, including commercial transactions

• Development of new business ventures, mergers and acquisitions

• In-house legal matters of all nature

• Assisting with research and maintenance of the corporate risk register, due diligence, sanctions and  regulatory compliance and liaising with relevant parties for any litigation matters.

• The responsibilities will also involve working with team members on corporate secretarial, corporate risk  insurance and marine insurance matters.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in law (English law preferred, but other common law jurisdictions will be considered) or  extensive experience in professional/corporate Risk Management.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar work.

• Previous experience in ship management or ship brokering will be advantageous.

• A high degree of proficiency in English, with good writing and communication skills, is required.

• Good organizational skills, disciplined, and with an ability to prioritize work.

• Able to balance strategic thinking with the ability to work through issues in a hands on and pragmatic manner
