Engineering Officer (Tug) - Port Limit Engine Driver (2nd Class) - #1096852

Candidates are expected to:-

• Manage the operation and maintenance of the engine room and deck machinery on the tug.
• Oversee bunkering, monitoring, and recording of fuel and oil consumption.
• Perform minor repairs on tug equipment and machinery.
• Report and record engine or machinery breakdowns and accidents in the Engine Log Book.
• Submit detailed PM defect lists promptly before each PM schedule date.
• Assist Technicians during repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Ensure machinery and equipment are regularly greased and maintained.
• Operate towlines, tow winch, and other equipment during tug operations as instructed by the Tug Master.
• Conduct cleaning and maintenance of the tug, deck, engine room, wheelhouse, and onboard equipment.
• Perform lookout duties as directed by the Tug Master.
• Secure the tug safely when moored and assist with splicing and replacing tow ropes.
• Inspect life-saving apparatus and ensure readiness for operation.
• Fulfill fire-fighting responsibilities as required.
• Adhere to all requirements in the relevant documents.
• Comply with the company’s Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, QHSSE Policy, and QHSSE Management Program.

The ideal candidate must:-

• Possess a valid Port Limit Engine Driver (2nd Class) licence issued by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore; and
• Be willing to perform shift work.

Shortlisted candidates will join us as Trainee Engineering Officer (Tug) and undergo the Engineering Officer (Tug) Training Prorgam. Once he/she completes the training program, he/she will take on the role of Engineering Officer (Tug).
