Job Purpose:
The Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuity of systems and leads the initiative for identifying and implementing innovation within the organization. The job holder will manage the maintenance of customer’s equipment and systems and follows corporate guidelines and best practices, monitoring compliance of work activities to regulatory and statutory policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Roles
1) Conduct Operations
Specialized in process analyzers and systems used to measure and monitor process quality in industrial plants.
Possess a well-rounded, multi-disciplinary skillset in mechanical systems, electrical power and control, chemical process applications, equipment operation, and basic IT/network functions.
Responsible for various tasks including in-house testing, site commissioning, system modifications, site maintenance, customer training, and site surveys.
Plan and organize jobs proactively at least one week in advance to ensure high utilization rates. Shutdown jobs may require planning 1–2 months ahead.
Respond to customer requests or identify potential job needs, and prepare job costing based on scope for quotations generated by the service planner.
Study and review drawings, specifications, and manuals of assigned analyzers or analyzer systems to understand their functions and operations.
Use the in-house database to select and prepare test procedures, checklists, and reports, customizing them as needed for specific job requirements.
Ensure all tools and materials are prepared in advance for effective and timely site work.
Perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance according to established procedures and checklists, while observing site and safety requirements.
Ensure customer reports are completed and signed at the end of each workday to support timely invoicing.
Monitor and reduce non-conformance work to maintain service quality.
Participate in technical, safety, operations, and soft skills training, including on-the-job learning and both local and overseas analyzer training.
2) Manage Health, Safety, and Environment
Drive departmental plans to ensure compliance with HSSE and Productivity.
Review vendor compliance with the organization’s HSSE standard and practices
Ensure proper closure of HSSE.
Ensure the implementation of sustainable engineering procedures and guidelines.
3) Manage Risk and Business
Develop risk management plans and risk controls in alignment with the organization’s risk management framework.
Analyze and consider the financial implications of various decisions and tasks.
Analyze the solutions developed, and work accomplished to identify learning points for continuous improvement initiatives.
4) Manage People and Organizational Function
Drive team performance to achieve department goals.
Analyze viability to proposed continuous improvement/lesson learned initiatives.
Prepare training videos for engineers to reference when required.
Provide onboarding training to newcomers and attend training provided as part of personal development.

Prerequisites:
ITE, Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or Engineering of Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Building or equivalent
Minimum 2 years relevant working experience
Experience in field instrumentation, process analytics and mechanical equipment will be highly relevant but not compulsory
Able to work independently and as a team
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
