Responsibilities:
To cover design aspects for systems such as Radars, Navigation Comms, Integrated Comms, Integrated Combat Systems and Layout designs
Work with other trades on integration design between Platform and Systems
To prepare the General Arrangement Plan (GAP)
Preparation of tender proposal and technical specifications for tender submission
Establish Major Equipment Specifications and Selections
To check and ensure equipment specification, technical information, functional description document, installation control document and interface design specification are correct and properly maintained, disseminate and use for the preparation of design work activities
Planning and control of Basic design document schedule to support project milestone
To develop of new designs and design concepts;
To source for new design tools;
To provide specialist technical assessment and analysis other in-house departments and external parties
To continue updating the developing and expanding of the design database
To participate in tests and sea trials, including HAT and SAT, where required
Perform detail design calculation where necessary
To follow up and resolve all the design issues raised by Owner, Classification and Statutory Authorities on all design documents promptly and timely to support the schedule, including on site checking and discussions
To generate 2D arrangement drawings for major equipment
To generate list of design drawing / document specific to each project
To check working drawings and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specification, installation control documents, Classification and Statutory Rules/Regulations
To keep abreast with current technological developments and products, Classification rules, military and industrial standards and other standards relevant to design activities.
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
3 to 7 years of relevant experience in Marine related projects on Navigation Communications Systems and Radars (Fire Contol & Surveillance) will be advantageous
Possess both project management and man management experience
Ability to manage external and internal stakeholders will be critical for this role
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Only Singaporeans will be considered for this role
Additional Information:
Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
5 days work week
Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
