Assistant IPQA Engineer (failure analysis)

Japan MNC - cell batteries manufacturing 

Perform failure analysis on battery cells (disassembly) using various analytical tools to identify failure mechanisms. Compile technical reports and communicate findings to relevant departments via email. Support Quality Engineers in managing non-conformance lots, ensuring outgoing quality, processing CAPAs, and driving quality/reliability improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Failure Analysis

• Conduct root cause analysis on defective products

• Generate and distribute technical reports detailing findings

• Monitor and maintain calibration of analysis tools and equipment

• Track and update failure analysis cases daily

• Ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards in the analysis room

Other duties

• Support Quality Engineers in handling non-conforming products

• Provide analytical support for the non-conformance process

• Assist in managing CAPA activities to resolve quality issues

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives under the guidance of Quality Engineers

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering with 1 - 2 years relevant experience.

• Experience in failure analysis is an advantage

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

• Self-driven, independent, and a collaborative team player

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Comfortable working in cleanroom and dry room environments (0% humidity)
