Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent taking the Centre Manager’s role is a full-time permanent position helming the administration and operational functions of the JOY Connection Student Care Centre.
The Student Care Centre Manager is responsible for the overall management, leadership, and operation of the student care centre. This includes ensuring compliance with government regulations, maintaining a safe and conducive environment for students, managing staff, and developing and implementing programmes that support the academic and holistic development of children.
Key Responsibilities:
Centre Operations & Administration
Oversee day-to-day operations of the student care centre.
Ensure compliance with MSF licensing requirements and safety standards.
Manage enrolment, student records, and parent communications.
Handle administrative duties including budgeting, procurement, and reporting.
Programme Planning & Delivery
Develop, implement, and evaluate daily programmes and holiday activities in line with the developmental needs of primary school children.
Ensure quality delivery of academic support, enrichment, and character development programmes.
Collaborate with schools and external vendors when necessary.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate centre staff (caregivers, teachers, assistants).
Schedule staff and ensure appropriate staff-child ratios are maintained.
Conduct regular meetings and professional development sessions.
Student Welfare & Discipline
Monitor students’ well-being, behaviour, and progress.
Implement discipline strategies aligned with the centre’s philosophy.
Ensure students are supervised and supported in a safe and nurturing environment.
Parent & Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain open and professional communication with parents.
Handle feedback, concerns, and enquiries in a timely manner.
Work with community partners and relevant agencies as needed.
Others
Ensure all data are updated.
Attend planning and corporate meetings.
Work on any other areas that the Executive Director may direct as and when necessary.
Requirements
Minimum a Diploma qualification, with at least 3 years of relevant work. Experience in Student Care Centre or school setting, prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
Strategic mindset with the ability to plan, implement, and review centre operations and programmes.
