Primary Objectives of Position
To achieve programme's goals by working with preschool teachers targeting children who are at risk of or having developmental delays to become more participative and engaged in their regular classroom. This is achieved by providing individualized and targeted learning strategies to maximize these children's learning potential.
Job Responsibilities
Overall Responsibilities
Facilitate appropriate identification and provision of support to preschool children with mild developmental difficulties within the preschool setting
Provide direct support in developmental areas of language, literacy, social skills, and fine motor skills of children who are identified to be at risk of developmental delays and require more individualized and targeted learning approaches, to be more participative and engaged in the regular classrooms
To further promote collaboration with preschool to maximize learning potential of children who are at risk or may have developmental needs
Principal Responsibilities
Conduct region-based programme awareness through preschool principal and teachers' briefings
Support preschools in identification process of children at risk of/or having developmental delays
To be familiar with and capable of conducting screening using designated screening tools for children referred to the programme
To be able to organize work and collate necessary information for a more holistic case presentation and identification of most effective support recommendation
To provide consultation and direct educational/developmental intervention to children for their academic, developmental, and social integration in mainstream education
Liaise with parents/caregivers to provide support for skill development through the provision of recommended home-based learning programme
Liaise with shareholders (e.g. Principals, Vice-Principals, Teachers, and Supervisors) in improving preschool capability activities such as preschool workshops, training, etc.
Conduct assessment, plan and implement IEP goal and develop evaluation and progress monitoring of children intervention support
Support teachers and parents to work towards the goals as discussed and agreed in the IEP
Maintain and keep records of all clients assisted
Other Responsibilities
Assist in ad-hoc projects/committees as and when required by the Program Head/Assistant Director
To perform any other duties as directed by the Program Head/Assistant Director

Job Requirement
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education/Psychology
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Good understanding of developmental milestones in all domains
Good understanding of a typical deviation of developmental milestones
Good understanding of positive behavior management approach and communicate using clear and developmentally appropriate language
Able to design appropriate goals based on the child's needs
Able to plan, implement, and evaluate IEPs
Able to gather relevant information, then prioritizes and selects appropriate goals with reference to information before implementation
Able to communicate well with parents/teachers/children
Identification of deviation from norm
Provision of support to children
Able to collaborate and problem-solve to maximize learning potential of children
Able to build positive rapport with children and staff
Adaptable, task/client focused, people oriented
Able to work well independently and in a team
