Executive Engineer (Building / Fire Safety Engineering) - #1095244

1. Review architectural building plans and to determine the basic fire safety systems, NV/MV designs required for the project.

2. Identify deviations that could be addressed using Performance-Based (PB) approach.

3. Liaison and coordination with the Client, Building Owner, Tenant, Project Consultants, SCDF and/or BCA.

4. Review and propose the fire safety, fire protection, fire engineering, NV and MV approach.

5. Firm up key parameters required for the Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) and evacuation analysis.

6. Propose measures / alternative solutions in order to obtain desirable results from the CFD and evacuation simulations.

7. Review, analyse and trouble-shoot CFD and evacuation simulation results.

8. Preparation and submission of Fire Engineering Design Brief (FEDB) to SCDF and/or CFD Report to BCA.

9. Liaison with Peer Reviewer and to address comments from them.

10. Preparation and submission of Fire Safety Engineering Report (FSER), Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manual and Submission drawings to SCDF.

11. To liaise with SCDF/BCA processing officers on the PB/Waiver submissions and to present the case to them if necessary for the approval of our submission. To review and address any comments from SCDF/BCA.

12. Prepare and review of tender drawings/design brief/specifications, respond to tender clarifications, evaluate tender returns and prepare tender report.

13. Review and approve contractors shop-drawings and material submissions. Respond to contractor's RFIs.

14. To attend regular meetings, internal testing, RI/SCDF/BCA inspections, preparation and issuance of Certificate of Supervision to the project QP.

15. To ensure deliverables are executed in a timely manner meeting project datelines and milestones.

The prospective candidates are expected to have:

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Fire Safety Engineering / Building Services or related discipline

2. Computer modelling expertise such as CFD modelling, evacuation modelling, etc.

3. Preferably be a registered professional in the field.
