Job Summary:
As a Senior Sales Manager / Sales Manager, you will manage key corporate accounts, actively pursue new business opportunities, and drive hotel revenue across rooms and meetings. Your primary focus is to optimize the hotel’s market share, ensuring we achieve our revenue goals and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential clients. You will be responsible for generating new accounts and retaining assigned segments through various sales activities, both in person and virtually (e.g., face-to-face sales calls, phone calls, entertainment, site inspections, etc.).


Strategic Responsibilities/ Duties:

  • Achieve revenue goals for the property, ensuring competitiveness within the market and meeting the set budget targets.

  • Develop and secure new major accounts, while managing and requalifying existing accounts.

  • Monitor competitor activity, including product and rate changes, and provide regular updates to the team.

  • Assist in developing and implementing the business plan by contributing valuable market insights and client feedback.

  • Collaborate with the catering and events team to plan and execute group business successfully.

  • Oversee the management of the hotel’s ASEM and Opera databases, ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate, and useful for management purposes.

  • Manage the annual RFP process to maximize local RFP submissions and increase account engagement.

  • Foster relationships with new and existing accounts to ensure the hotel captures its fair share of citywide business.

  • Conduct site inspections and meetings with potential clients to showcase hotel offerings.

  • Execute a comprehensive sales call plan and ensure regular reporting of results, with a goal of achieving at least 20 sales activities per week.

  • Ensure that weekly sales plans, activity reports, and month-end reports are submitted on time and that all filing systems (both electronic and paper) remain current.

  • Handle administrative tasks, including responding to emails, preparing proposals, and sending contracts.

  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.

  • Represent the hotel at networking events and business travel functions, and attend trade shows as needed.

  • Be prepared to take on job reassignment in other departments or sections, if requested by management.

  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Proficient in Agency 360, Demand 360, Lighthouse, ASEM, Cvent, Lanyon, Sabre, and Duetto.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Sales Expertise & Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in hospitality sales, with a deep understanding of the sales cycle, corporate account management, and current industry trends (both local and international).

  • Strategic & Analytical Skills: Ability to identify future sales needs, trends, and opportunities for strategic planning, along with strong analytical capabilities to drive decisions.

  • Self-Motivation & Leadership: Highly self-driven with the ability to inspire and motivate others, fostering a collaborative team environment.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and senior management, ensuring effective collaboration across departments.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using industry tools and software like MS Office, ADVANCE, Opera, and others, with a solid understanding of basic revenue management principles.
