System Engineer (Device Hardening / Window Linux) - #1094497

About the role

We are seeking 11 Frontend System Engineers for a 1 year contract, working at Ang Mo Kio and client premises. Native Singaporeans with strong skills in device hardening and system configuration, experience with Windows Server 2022 and Linux

What we offer

• Salary budget up to $6600

• Mobile claims capped at $50 + Transport claims for travel between sites

• Up to 1 month performance bonus

Key responsibilities

• Perform site system engineer role to:

• Manage the necessary stakeholder for project activities.

• Conduct Deployment, Installation, Commission, Integration & Testing activities on site.

• Install, test, and implement systems in accordance with specifications and service level requirements, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

• Manage systems changes using an established change request process, including assessing the impact, obtaining necessary approvals, and communicating status updates to multiple stakeholders.

• Respond promptly to incidents, conduct thorough investigations, and provide timely temporary and/or permanent resolutions. Keep all relevant parties informed of the incident status and any ongoing investigations.

• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and proactively implement measures to prevent recurrence. Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented measures and make adjustments as necessary.

• Proactively monitor and measure the performance and availability of systems, using appropriate monitoring tools and methodologies. Identify and implement corrective actions to improve system performance and availability based on the findings.

• Monitor and maintain agreed service levels, such as response times for service requests and system availability. Document and regularly update system configurations and provide comprehensive reports to relevant parties on a regular basis.

• Develop and implement comprehensive service continuity measures, including robust backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plans, to ensure uninterrupted business operations in the event of disruption.

• Good to have troubleshooting skills and resolving issues related to PSIM (Physical Security Information System), CCTV surveillance systems, access control, alarm & intrusion systems, and network infrastructure.

Must have frontend system configuration and setup skill sets & experience as below:

• Perform Bio configuration and update in offline environment

• Symantec Anti-virus updates in offline environment

• Update/upgrade of Linux OS (patches) in offline environment

• Update/upgrade of application in offline environment

• Perform basic computer and network maintenance

What we're looking for

• Native-born Singaporean (Need to clear G50 and mandatory background check)

• Mandatory Skills: Device Hardening & System Configuration

• Preferred Skills: Windows Server 2022, LINUX

• Nitec/Higher Nitec/diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Information Technology (IT) from a recognized institution.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely

• Able to be on 24x7 support standby on rotation
