Technical Support Officer (North/ School Environment) - #1093753

The Role:

• Provide technical support across various laboratory clusters to ensure smooth operations and coverage for technical duties.

• Prepare materials, equipment, and laboratory support for classes, workshops, and events.

• Maintain and prepare laboratory equipment, ensuring proper upkeep and housekeeping.

• Assist lecturers with demonstrations and conduct trial runs for practical classes.

• Perform basic troubleshooting for equipment faults and coordinate repairs/servicing with respective clusters.

• Receive goods, check and endorse delivery orders, and send acknowledgment emails to requestors.

• Assist in chemical and biohazard waste disposal with the Central Service team.

• Conduct annual stock take of assets and manage inventory.

• Support WSH and QEHS audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with guidelines.

• Perform administrative duties such as processing lab requests and procuring lab equipment and consumables.

What Are We Looking For?

• Higher NITEC/Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, or Material Science.

• Knowledge of analytical instruments and chemistry.

• Effective communication skills with people at all levels.

• Flexibility to work in various lab clusters and adapt to different tasks.
