Description:

Our client is seeking a senior mechanical design engineer with the qualifications to also take on the role as team leader for the mechanical team.

In this position, you will have a leading role in coordinating and performing mechanical design activities in product development projects toward company’s customers.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical design resource.

• Team lead of the mechanical design team in Singapore.

• Oversee and coordinate activities.

• Plan projects and allocate resources.

• Collaborate with Singapore tool design team.

• Collaborate with manufacturing sites and support NPI.

• Collaborate and support development project teams from other manufacturing sites around the world.

• Support local management and sales with budgeting and quoting activities for new and existing customer projects.

Experiences / Qualifications and skills:

• Must be minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design, preferably in plastic injection moulding design. 

• Minimum Bachelor´s degree.

• Experienced within Product Development and the overall process.

• Experience in Project Management and technical lead roles.

• Good people skills, creative and problem solving mindset.

• Proficient in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
