Purchasing Executive (Next to Tuas Link MRT) - #1093740

Responsibilities

- Ensure that all purchases are carried out professionally accordingly to the highest standards of purchasing practice and the company’s interest is adequately safeguard in all transactions.

- Develop specific purchasing objective, create short- and long-term goals with a view to reducing the cost of materials and improving service to user departments.

- Perform market survey for best and new supply source.

- Contact potential suppliers and negotiate most favorable proposals.

- Establish and maintain professional relationship with existing suppliers and be on the lookout for new sources of supply.

- Ensure that the items purchased are according to user’s specification and to communicate details of purchasing arrangements to user departments.

- Receive requisitions; analyze each item for quantity, specification, and delivery requirements.

- Develop and investigate source of supply and issue request for quotations.

- Ensure that items ordered are delivered on time and to take all necessary steps to ensure that this is achieved.

- Develop substitutes if commodity is unavailable or a more economical product if it meets user department’s requirements.

- Involve in stock take/count.

Requirements

- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

- Minimum 2 years of working experience in procurement/operations

- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word

- Experience in using ERP system
