Incumbent will manage and maintain full set of account to ensure that all AP, AR, GL and Tax functions related to the Accounting and General Ledger are well executed. It is important for the incumbent to be well versed in accounting, agile, able to meet tight timeline and hold an eye for continuous process improvement for business efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Handle full sets of accounts, including but not limited to AP, AR, GL, Tax, and others.
- Handle month-end closing process to ensure timely submission of accurate financial reports.
- Perform GL functions including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, clearing of aged balances, etc.
- Manage Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Inventory and others.
- Perform tax functions including GTS, withholding tax, corporate tax and others.
- Perform management reporting to HQ including preparation of management reports and fluctuation analysis with accuracy and precision.
- Provide insightful analysis of business financial performance of profit & loss and balance sheet accounts, and Budget against Forecast.
- Deep-dive into financial data, analyse trends, able to identify key drivers of performance
- Manage and review Shared Service team performance and work.
- Prepare and submit pre-audit requests as determined by the internal and external auditor.
- Assist the Finance Team in maintaining a sound internal control system and timely updating finance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement.
- Prepare Desktop procedures and documentation of existing process.
- Support the Finance Team in driving value-add projects to identify and drive continuous improvements in process efficiency.
- Other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in full sets of accounts, management reporting/GL accounting or similar roles with accounting & analysis experience.
- Experience in IT and Project oriented industry (with POC revenue recognition) an advantage.
- Previous audit experience with Big 4 is an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAP are required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate financial matters effectively to non-financial managers
- Highly analytical, organized, detailed, proactive, able to work independently under tight deadlines.
