Role Summary
Join IHH Healthcare’s mission to shape the future of healthcare through bold innovation and meaningful research. As the Assistant Manager for the Research & Innovation Grant, you will manage and facilitate a dual-track grant platform that empowers teams to explore bold ideas and advance impactful research across our key areas of focus (e.g. clinical, operational, etc). You will play a vital coordination role across geographies and departments to ensure smooth execution of the end-to-end program.
- For research, it is about understanding of the structured process that is aimed at generating new knowledge or insights through systematic investigation and analysis
- For innovation, it is the understanding of the iterative process focused on developing, testing, and implementing creative solutions to real-world problems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and Facilitate Research and Innovation Program Lifecycle
- Coordinate all aspects of the Research & Innovation process from application calls, communications, and submissions to evaluation, funding/reimbursements, and completion tracking.
- Ensure the program runs efficiently across multiple geographies and timelines, adhering to guidelines, budgets and governance standards.
- Provide clear guidance on eligibility, formats, evaluation criteria, and timelines for both tracks.
Support Review and Governance Panels
- Organize review panel meetings and assist in consolidating feedback, evaluation scores, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Grant Governance Committee to ensure transparent decision-making and proper fund disbursement.
- Prepare periodic reports on program metrics and project outcomes.
Support Awareness and Participation
- Serve as the central contact point for staff queries, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including clinicians, startups, and academic collaborators.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing across the group through summaries, presentations, and internal/external showcases.
- Maintain and update shared resources including SharePoint sites and startup/research partner directories.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelors in Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Health Innovation, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in program coordination, research administration, healthcare innovation, or a related field.
- Hybrid project management skills across research and innovation with experience managing multi-stakeholder processes across geographies.
- Good understanding of healthcare systems, as well as both research principles and innovation project implementation preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and timelines.
- Service-oriented mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity and complexity.
