DORS, the retail showcase located at level one of Design Orchard and situated in the centre of Orchard Road, provides a physical retail space for new and emerging designers, at the renowned shopping belt of Singapore. It has the largest collection of locally based designer brands in Singapore.
The Cocoon Space (TCS), offers creative co-working and event space housed on level 2 and rooftop of Design Orchard.
About Sustainability at SFC
Sustainability is at the heart of SFC’s initiatives, fostering circularity, responsible business practices, and industry collaboration. Our sustainability team drives key programs, including the Be the Change Summit, Textile Circularity Consortium, Everybody Matters, and Impact Retail, which aim to bring together industry stakeholders to accelerate sustainable transformation in fashion.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a passionate and driven intern to join the Sustainability Team at SFC. This role offers hands-on experience in supporting flagship initiatives that promote circularity, collaboration, and innovation within the fashion ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:
Impact Retail
- Support research and content development on sustainable materials, circular fashion, and consumer behavior for program initiatives.
- Assist in planning and coordinating workshops, exhibitions, and events, including logistics, materials, and stakeholder communication.
- Create educational materials and digital content to engage youth and the wider community.
- Collect data and track impact metrics, analysing participant feedback to measure program effectiveness.
- Engage with stakeholders and partners, supporting collaboration efforts to drive circularity initiatives in fashion.
Inclusive Design Competition
- Oversee the collection, organization, and review of digital submissions for competitions and projects.
- Support event planning and coordination, logistics, and execution of sustainability programs and industry initiatives.
- Assist in developing reports, presentations, and marketing materials for communication and engagement.
- Help coordinate meetings, outreach efforts, and communications with industry partners and collaborators.
- Manage scheduling, documentation, and operational tasks to ensure smooth project execution.
Others
- Support other sustainability initiatives and programmes as required, such as but not limited to assisting in research, outreach, and coordination.
Who We're Looking For:
- Open to undergraduates from all backgrounds with a keen interest in sustainability, fashion, supply chains, and industry collaboration.
- Candidates with backgrounds in marketing, business, supply chain management, fashion, design, event management, or related fields are preferred.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise insights into actionable recommendations.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Experience in event planning, stakeholder engagement, or project coordination is a plus but not required.
- Passionate about making positive impacts and change in the fashion industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum commitment of 4-6 months.
