Job Overview:
The Regional Vice President of Business Development for Northern Asia will be responsible for
leading the strategic direction, growth, and management of business development efforts across
the region. The RVP will have full revenue responsibility for the assigned region, ensuring that all
revenue targets are met or exceeded. They will be instrumental in aligning business objectives with
revenue goals while ensuring operational excellence and a customer-first approach. This role will
oversee a team of directors and account managers, driving business growth by developing and
executing initiatives that expand market presence, build strong customer relationships, and
penetrate new markets.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, lead, and execute the overall business development strategy for the Northern Asia
region to achieve revenue and market share growth.
• Take full responsibility for the region’s revenue, ensuring that sales goals are met or
exceeded.
• Oversee the regional team’s performance, providing coaching, development, and strategic
guidance to ensure optimal results.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners, negotiating
and securing major contracts.
• Manage and cultivate strong B2B distributor relationships to ensure efficient distribution
channels and support business growth across the region.
• Create and implement sales and marketing initiatives to capture key demographics,
increase revenue, and grow market share, while monitoring competitors to maintain a
competitive edge.
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, trends, and customer needs within
Northern Asia to expand the company's footprint.
• Support and guide the sales team in generating leads, closing deals, and building
relationships with key customers, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
• Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to align business development
strategies with company objectives and enhance product offerings.
• Collaborate with finance to develop accurate forecasts, manage the sales budget, and
ensure alignment with revenue targets.
• Provide regular updates on market conditions, sales pipeline, forecasts, and overall
performance to the executive leadership team.
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
• Strong knowledge of the Northern Asia business landscape, including key players, market
dynamics, and regulatory environments.
• Essential experience selling products and services to schools in Northern Asia, with a deep
understanding of the unique needs of educational institutions.
• Proven success in leading sales teams and driving revenue growth, with significant
expertise in K-12 online education.
• 15+ years of experience in business development or sales, including 10+ years in leadership
roles.
• Expertise in strategic planning, including workforce planning, developing, and deploying
resources to optimize performance and achieve business objectives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
