We are seeking a dedicated Internal Audit Specialist to join our dynamic group internal audit team. The Internal Audit Specialist will be responsible for key audit functions, including planning, testing, risk mitigation and reporting. Prior hands-on experience in managing internal and external audits, particularly in the areas of financial, risk and compliance are essentials to be successful in the role. This role also needs to have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a deep understanding of auditing best practices to ensure compliance with auditing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial, operational and compliance audits according to the audit timelines
- Formulate audit program and perform detailed testing on various audit assignments
- Assess the quality of internal controls, analyze evidential information and suggest practical solutions to mitigate risks and improve processes
- Liaise with auditees to formulate action plans
- Prepare detailed audit reports, present findings and provide recommendations to the local management
- Collaborate with various departments to communicate findings and recommendations to address gaps
- Assist in the preparation of annual audit plans and quarterly reporting to the Audit Committee
- Support other ad-hoc tasks assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related disciplines
- Professional CPA, CIA, CISA, or similar certification is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in internal or external audit with strong hands-on experience in managing financial, risk and compliance audit
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identity core issues, investigate, evaluate and propose appropriate solutions
- Stay updated of auditing standards and industry best practice
- Highly meticulous and detail-oriented with high level of accuracy, professional ethics and integrity
- A team player and a keen learner
- Hands-on experience and knowledge in the ERP system (e.g. SAP) is a plus
- Proficient in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate and collaborate with teams internationally. Good report writing skills (in English) is essential
- Comfortably travelling worldwide for business (approximately 20%)
